Ocoee has grown from a citrus settlement on Starke Lake into the third-largest city in Orange County, while keeping a distinctly family-oriented character. It is a city of lakes: more than a dozen of them, which means boating, fishing, and waterside parks are part of everyday life rather than weekend trips.

Housing here leans toward established single-family neighborhoods and steadily growing new construction along the SR 50 and 429 corridors. The schools, parks, and recreation programs make it a favorite for families, and the price points tend to be more attainable than the communities closer to downtown.
