The lay of the land

What living in Minneola is really like

Minneola sits on the shore of Lake Minneola next door to Clermont, and it deliberately keeps a lower profile. Incorporated in 1926 on land that was largely citrus groves, it has grown quietly into a waterfront bedroom community with some of the most attainable prices on the lake.

Water sports are the lifestyle here: sailing, paddling, and boating on Lake Minneola, with the waterfront park a few minutes away. The community is best known in the area for its strong local high school and steady, family-oriented growth, all while staying roughly half an hour from downtown Orlando.

Who it suits

Boating families, commuters who value a quieter base, and buyers priced out of lakefront markets farther east.

Known for

Lake Minneola water sports, the waterfront park, and a long-standing connection to Lake Minneola High School.

“Minneola gives you the Lake County lifestyle without the crowd. It is the kind of place where your dollar goes further and the lake does the talking.”
