Things to Do This Weekend: October 17-18, 2026

Here is what is happening this weekend

October keeps delivering across Central Florida, and this weekend has one of the biggest Saturday nights of the year in Orlando: Come Out With Pride at Lake Eola, free and open to everyone, with a festival, a parade, live entertainment, and a fireworks finale. Around it, there is a strong mix of community gatherings and fall festivals in every direction, from a Hispanic heritage festival in Oviedo to a pet festival in Horizon West to fall festivals in Clermont, Mount Dora, and Davenport. Every detail below is one I could verify as of Friday morning, October 16.

The theme this week is easy, family-friendly outdoor time and local community events. Most of what is listed is free to attend: the Pride festival, Viva Oviedo, Rocktoberfest in Celebration, the Mount Dora Fall Festival, and both farmers markets. The one that costs money is Southern Hill Farms in Clermont, which requires timed-entry tickets bought online in advance. I have kept the list tight and leaned on the events that are easiest for families and people new to the area.

Rocktoberfest in Celebration

Fall Fest at the Welcome Center

Saturday, October 17, 2026 · 9 a.m. to noon

Visit Central Florida Welcome Center, 101 Adventure Ct., Davenport

A free family morning in Polk County with early trick-or-treating, fall activities, and prizes at the Welcome Center just off I-4 at Exit 55. A low-key pick if you are driving the Highway 27 corridor this weekend.

Sunday, October 18

A few notes before you go

Dates and times can change, so give the organizer a quick look before you drive. Ticketed items this weekend are limited: Southern Hill Farms in Clermont requires timed-entry tickets bought online in advance, and it is the only event on this list that charges admission. Everything else, the Pride festival, Viva Oviedo, Rocktoberfest, the Mount Dora Fall Festival, Fall Fest at the Welcome Center, and both farmers markets, is free to attend.

Come Out With Pride at Lake Eola will draw big crowds on Saturday, so plan for parking and get there early if you want a good parade spot. This guide updates every Friday and only covers the coming weekend, so check back next week for a fresh list. If you have a neighborhood event worth sharing, send it my way and I will try to include it in a future edition.
